Text from the organiser:
Bare Egil Band is known for his humorous and ironic approach to music, with lyrics ranging from the absurd to the political. Since his debut in 1996, he has released more than a dozen studio albums and scored several hits, including “Tagging”, “Bæsj i skjegget” and “Arne går mot døra”. He has also been a member of bands such as Gartnerlosjen, Hurra Torpedo and Black Debbath, and is well known from television through his frequent appearances on programmes such as Brille, Nytt på nytt and Kongen befaler.
Bare Egil Band promises a varied concert experience, but that is a gross exaggeration. As usual, there will be acoustic guitar playing and a vocal style that ranges from mumbling to shouting. Entertaining, though? Quite possibly!
ABOUT BYSOMMER:
Few artists have captured Oslo as precisely as Lillebjørn Nilsen. Through a long artistic career, poetry and folk songs, he gave us a profound insight into the soul of the city. For many years, Lillebjørn and his collaborator Helge Westbye invited audiences to “Bysommer”, a concert held during Norway’s main summer holiday period. We are now continuing that legacy with the Bysommer concert series, where artists who, like Lillebjørn, love Oslo bring positive energy to the city’s laid-back summer atmosphere.
Bysommer takes place at venues including SALT Art & Music from June to August. Read more at bysommer.no.
Age limit: 20+ years.
