Fishing has been the most important industry in Lofoten since the dawn of time. At times, the cod / dryfish was the one thing that provided Norway with export revenue. The fisheries that built the nation of Norway, and especially the Lofoten fishery was important. Laukvik was one of the places on the outer side of the coast that was established on the basis of fishing, and with the small agricultural properties that lay around this became an active community.

The Fisherman farmer was a well-known concept where the family fed on fishing and farming. The owners and managers of Livland are today's "fishermen", but now they combine experience production and agriculture. The apartments are located down by the harbor where you can stay in high comfort, and watch the boats that come and go. The fantastic ocean views and the surrounding mountains make this a unique accommodation.

Within walking distance of the apartments, you will find a shop, boat rental, coffee roasterie, museum, as well as a number of hiking opportunities.
