Canyoning has its origins in the alps, but the northern part of Gudbrandsdalen also features several canyons ideal for this exciting mix of scrambling/climbing, swimming, jumping into deep rock pools and walking in and along a small river flowing through a narrow gorge.
Canyoning has its origins in the alps, but the northern part of Gudbrandsdalen also features several canyons ideal for this exciting mix of scrambling/climbing, swimming, jumping into deep rock pools and walking in and along a small river flowing through a narrow gorge. In some areas ropes are needed in order to descend safely and negotiate difficult sections. Participants will also get a chance to swim behind a waterfall. The trip is moderately demanding, and is suitable for anyone of normal fitness and strength. Bring a packed lunch.
