Gallery Athene

Gallery Athene is situated in Drammen and currently represents 100 artists from the local, national, and international spheres in its permanent collection. Annually, the gallery orchestrates 11 solo exhibitions, cementing Athene's status as one of Norway's premier privately owned galleries. According to Lars Holst Larsen, the managing director and owner, "Gallery Athene is founded on knowledge, quality, and diversity," showcasing artwork spanning local, national, and international origins. The artists primarily specialize in original graphics, paintings, sculptures, and installations. Our eclectic array of artists encompasses emerging talents, lesser-known names, and globally recognized creators. Larsen adds that running the gallery encompasses more than just exhibitions, with extensive groundwork preceding each vernissage. Additionally, the gallery hosts concerts, book launches, and art lectures, and operates its own framing workshop. Opening hours: Wednesday – Sunday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
