Norway's most famous painter, Edvard Munch, lived on Grimsrød Gård at Jeløy in Moss from 1913-1916. The hiking trail "In Munch's footsteps" goes from Moss railway station via Bråtengata and the Grimsrød farm at Jeløy to the path by the Reier farm – and the path between Grønli farm and Kubberød farm.

Is it also possible to experience Munch´s art in Moss, as several of his works can be seen at Hotell Refsnes Gods. Restaurant Munch displays four original lithographs by Edvard Munch. In addition, there is a watercolor and a graphic work. Next to "Self-portrait" from 1895, you will find "Young woman" (Mossepiken). In addition to the mentioned works of art by Edvard Munch, it is possible to see Andy Warhol's silkscreen prints "Eva Medocci" and "Madonna and self-portrait with bone arm". These works of art are part of the series "After Munch".
