The  Kragerø archipelago's highest point and with a little cottage for the night!

Gumøy is the third largest island in Kragerø with richly varied landscape and numerous cultural sites and well marked hiking trails.

Vestre Gumøyknute also known under the name Signalen is the archipelago's highest point with 113 metres above sea level and magnificent panoramic views. At Signalen you´ll find a little cottage where you can stay for the night for 200NOK. If you are interested, it is best to call: 97508176/35983132 and you will get more information.

From the old ferry pier «Vestre Gumøy» you can follow a yellow marked steep path up to Signalen. It´s a 45min walk. Do you have children with you then it will probably be better to select another path down which is much smoother and therefore easier to walk. When the path splits follow the left one.

At the «Vestre Gumøy» pier you are allowed to dock your boat, and also for the taxiboat it is no problem to stop here.
