Experience our beautiful nature in forests and mountains on foot or with snowshoes. Mark trails of different lengths and levels of difficulty.
The starting point for the snowshoe trails is at the reception of Vrådal Hyttegrend, where there are also parking spaces. The trails are laid out in the same routes as some of our summer trails. The main trail is a winter-closed road. Otherwise, paths, old horse roads and tractor roads are used. The routes that go on the road will be prepared with snowmobiles. The following four trails have been created:
1. Viewpoint with picnic table 1.km round trip. Duration 40 minutes, height difference 78m. Family friendly. Easy trail
2. Lukredalsrunden, length 6.8 km, Duration 4 hours and altitude difference 325m. Passes Grillbui, with barbecue, picnic table and outdoor toilet. Varied forest terrain and open view areas. Good opportunities to cross animal tracks of elk, deer, fox, hare, squirrel and marten. Moderately difficult trip. Suitable for guiding and groups.
3. Dalenrunden, long 2.4 km. Duration 1 1/2 hours, height difference 129m. Part of the trail follows a nature trail with interesting information about trees, forests, game management and various animal species. Easy to medium easy ride.
Vrådal Hyttegrend has been renting cabins since 1979. More and more of our winter guests want to travel in our beautiful nature on foot - then the modern snowshoes are a good alternative to alpine and cross-country skiing. From our reception we rent out snowshoes and poles in three sizes.
Prices:
• Snowshoes for adults NOK 220 per day
Snowshoes for children NOK 180 per day
• Pair of sticks NOK 50 per day
• Discount for our cabin guests, when booking in advance and for renting more than one day
• Price for guiding by appointment
