Hopeful Garden

Make your way to Kristiansand’s new backyard café: Hopeful Garden in Kirkegata 20 B. The garden is over 100 years old, and it’s inspired by the old norwegian theme. Here you’ll find the biggest pear tree in town. 

The café serves delicious pastries from the local bakery, Edgars Bakeri, thai food from Pret Thai and a selection of coffee. Their bestseller is icecoffee with vanilla ice.

In addition to the café, Hopeful has a charming quality-shop with souvenirs, art by local norwegian artists, interior items and clothes. 

Hopeful is a work-training project for vulnerable youth.  While you are eating in the beautiful garden or buying something in the shop, you are helping youth get work training and confidence to find a job or return to school.
