Bergenfest - live music festival

Overview

Bergenfest is a four-day open-air festival held in the city centre of Bergen. The festival takes place on the grounds of a medieval fortress and castle in the city's historic centre.

A variety of genres are represented, from straight forward pop and rock via blues, country, americana and electronic-based music to the more obscure and adventurous ones. Previous acts at the festival include Robert Plant, John Mayer, ZZ Top, Biffy Clyro, Imagine Dragons and Lana Del Rey to name a few.

In 2023 you can see artists like Lars Vaular (Headline), Suede, Tash Sultana, The Lumineers, Girl Scout, Kristi Brud and more. Altogether it will be around 50 acts presented at the festival. More info and full line-up at bergenfest.no

Bergenfest in the press:
Bergenfest has received standing ovations from the press, and has established itself as a modern music festival of both national and international interest. In 2000, Bergenfest, then named Ole Blues Festival, was voted “Festival of the Year” by its peers in the Norwegian Rock Festival Council. The festival has also received the price of honour from Bergen Tourist Board in 2001, “for excellent marketing of Bergen”.

Gates open 16:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 14:00 Friday and 12:00 Saturday.
