One of Norway’s most beautiful voices has released a new album. This winter, Britt-Synnøve Johansen comes to Tungenes Lighthouse.
"Kveldslys" — savour the word: Evening is approaching. It darkens, yet there is still light. A cosy, gentle light.
Britt-Synnøve Johansen is the small woman with the big voice and a rare gift for storytelling. She has sung Édith Piaf in Norwegian, tango in Norwegian, and her own and others’ music full of deep emotion.
On her new release "Kveldslys", the mood is calmer, the lyrics mature, wistful, and thoughtful. Yet it remains warm and endlessly beautiful. Like an evening in gentle light.
"Kveldslys" was recorded live with highly skilled and dedicated musicians. It is a tender, intimate, and honest album. The genre is Norwegian songs, but it stretches into French chansons, jazz, and Americana — all at once.
Britt-Synnøve is known for captivating her audience. With "Kveldslys", she is ready once again to share songs and stories we can all relate to.
Musicians:
- Rasmus Solem: Piano
- Magnus Rød Haugland: Double Bass
Doors open at 19:30. Refreshments will be served.
The lighthouse is in Randaberg, only a 15-minute drive from Stavanger.
