The menu on Christmas Eve consists of a classic Norwegian Christmas buffet, available to both hotel guests and visitors who want an atmospheric Christmas Eve with us at Hafjell Hotel. On this day, there is always great joy and anticipation among the guests, who enjoy the Christmas party. In addition, we have guests who come from other accommodations and cabins in Hafjell to participate in the celebration.
Christmas at the hotel
In the evening, the fireplace spreads its warmth, and many people gather in the fireplace room to share the day's experiences and make plans for tomorrow. For those who need a last-minute Christmas gift, the Christmas town of Lillehammer is only 15 km away. There you will find a wide range of shops, galleries and museums. A stroll in Storgata gives a magical feeling of Christmas.
• Breakfast is served daily from 07:30 - 10:00 (11:00 on Christmas Eve, 1st Christmas Day and 1st New Year's Day)
• Coffee, hot juice and cookies are served in the fireplace lounge between 15:00 and 17:00.

16.00 Deadline for handing in packages at the reception for the distribution of Santa Claus (one package per guest).
17.00 Traditional Christmas dinner buffet, with dining adapted for your safety. The starter is served at the table, while the main course and dessert are handed out by the chefs at the food court.
19.00 Santa Claus arrives at the hotel. Coffee, hot juice and cakes in Peisestua.

Playland Hafjell is ready every evening between 19.00 and 21.00, for the hotel's youngest guests. Note: Playland is unmanned, so adults must be present with the children.

At Hafjell Hotel, we create a homely Christmas celebration, inspired by old traditions, including:

The hotel offers several cosy lounges with seating areas. In the evening, the fireplace is lit in the fireplace room where guests meet to share stories. For children, there is a separate play area near the restaurant, and games can be borrowed from reception.
Right next to the hotel is Lekeland Hafjell, an indoor play area of 900 sqm spread over 4 floors. Here there is free admission for our hotel guests in the evening between 19:00 and 21:00 via an entrance directly from the hotel.
For Christmas shopping, a trip to Lillehammer, only 15 km away, is recommended. This charming place offers a unique atmosphere in Storgata, as well as a rich selection of shops, galleries and museums. Let the Christmas spirit fill you as you explore this magical city.
