You can join a RIB-safari or a hike to experience more of the beautiful Arctic nature. On our 5-hour open RIB-safari we embark on our Polarcirkle boat to the north side of Isfjorden. In Trygghamna we will meet the eye-catching landmark Alkhornet, a large bird mountain surrounded by a lush and beautiful landscape. We continue our cruise to Ymerbukta, where the scenic Esmark glacier dives into the bay. As we float between small icebergs in the green glacial water you can hear the ice crackle.
If you prefer to hike rather that do boat safaris, you can join your Isfjord Radio guide on one of our favourite tracks along the old radio poles of the station given three optional route and activity alternatives. The hike will be approximately 10-16 km long depending on route.
