At Munkeby Inn (Herberge) in Levanger, you are given a warm welcome by Andrea og Espen. They offer distinctive accommodation with a lot of soul.  Munkeby has roots dating back to pre-Viking times and there are several burial mounds on the property, in addition to other traces of human life and remains through thousands of years.

At Munkeby Inn you can choose new rooms in the Fjøset or the Brakka, in the old Trøndelåna or very basic accommodation in Stabburet. All rooms are close to sanitary building (renovated in 2016), with bathrooms, utility room. Shower and WC is facilitated for the disabled. There is a kitchen in Stabburet for self catering.

Fjøset/The barn
3 double rooms and 2 family rooms accommodating 4 people. There is a common room adjacent to the rooms. Facilitated for the disabled.
Brakka / barrack
1 double room and 1 room with 2 sets of bunk beds (accommodating 4 people). Renovated in 2016.
Trønderlåna
4 double rooms on the 2nd floor. New bathroom and toilet in the hallway. Tronderlåna is from 1823.

WELCOMING HOSTS
Andrea og Espen are warm and hospitable people who really want you to have a good stay with them, regardless of purpose.
They have their feet firmly planted in history and together they have managed and taken care of the old buildings and built new accommodation in the barn, run a farm, hostel and café!

CAFE AND FARM SHOP
Food is available to order in our cafe located in Masstua from 1829. Andrea og Espen have retained the old character and ambience of the building. They serve coffee, pastries and simple lunch dishes. Enjoy the food inside or outside, weather permitting. In their farm shop they sell local food and produce and handicrafts.

NEXT TO THE PILGRIM TRAIL ST. OLAVSLEDEN
The farm is located by the pilgrimage route, between the ruins of Munkeby monastery and the new Munkeby Mariakloster. People have left their mark on this fascinating cultural landscape for thousands of years, and traces from both bronze- and Viking ages are evident wherever you turn.
Steeped in the history that this area represents you find the farm Munkeby Søndre and Munkeby Inn, a unique haven that allows you to travel through the centuries of Norwegian history, at your own pace.

Welcome!.
