Asian restaurant with sustainable food
Restaurant inspired by Southeast Asian street food. A passionate composition of the most memorable dishes from the Orient’s flavoursome and colourful cuisine.
With a nice view of Rådhusplassen and the Oslo fjord, ASIA’s airy and spacious premises at Aker Brygge is the perfect spot for both small and large gatherings. Their chambre séparée suits parties of up to 30, 50, or 80 guests. For larger parties the whole second floor can be booked for up to 200 people for a wonderful culinary experience.
ASIA treats their surroundings with respect and love and aims towards operating as sustainably as possible. Head chef Karl MacEwan is passionate about creating delicious plant-based dishes. He continuously finds new and exciting vegetarian and vegan recipes. ASIA has reduced their total amount of red meat to be less than 1 % of the ingredients they purchase.
Every dish is climate labelled, and they also inform how much CO2 each dish contributes with. ASIA also collaborates with CHOOSE to reduce CO2 emissions and compensates for all emissions the company causes by financially contributing to UN-regulated CO2-reducing projects.
Due to their work on CO2-reducing measures, in 2019 ASIA became the first restaurant in the world to be recognized by the UN initiative "Climate Neutral Now".
