The unique island communities have a peaceful atmosphere. There are no cars on the islands, it is the importance of the ocean that counts.

Rib-tour to the island community of Røvær

This RIB tour goes to the local island Røvær where you will meet the locals. You will have the opportunity to visit the aquaculture center and learn about the history of deep sea fishing. A unique way to discover an island community.

Island safari with Rib boat

Whiz away between the city islands out to the open sea. The tour starts calmly through the straight of Smedasundet before you accelerate out to the open and the island communities of Feøy and Røvær. You will pass through channels, islands and fish farms while the captain tells stories on the way.

Sightseeing

On this tour we mostly stay inshore. We whiz away through the straight of Karmsundet with its vast history from the Viking Age, the «herring town» and the industry. The options for cultural stops are many ranging from the viking farm at Avaldsnes or a nice meal at Borgøy.

Høyevarde lighthouse

Høyevarde is an exclusive cultural heritage with a relaxing atmosphere. The lighthouse dates back to 1700 and has been a very important lighthouse in the straight of Karmsundet – also called the Way North – which has given Norway its name. Høyevarde of today was built in 1858 and was also a customs station, boathouse and a bakery. Today it is the well-reputed chef Finn Lothe who runs the kitchen. They only use fresh locally produced and grown ingredients. They have their own sheep, chickens, beehive and herb garden. The menu changes with the seasons.
