If you would like a real musher experience where not only the beautiful Svalbard scenery but also the dogs are in focus - our full day with dogsledding provides a great Arctic dogsledding experience!
Our dogs love running and are happy each and every day they get to run! Many of our dogs have run Iditarod, the longest dog race in the world, and participated in expeditions to the North Pole and all over Spitsbergen.
You run 2 and 2 on our specially designed sleds where both are actively running together. Our experienced guides will provide all the necessary training and run in front to show the way. The silent winter journey through wide valleys and over large glaciers combined with the close contact with the dogs will be an experience regardless of the weather. Warm lunch and drinks will be served during the tour inside an igloo or out in the open next to the dogs.
We will pick you up by car at your accommodation in town and drive through the historical Adventdalen to our kennel in Bolterdalen. Here you will get what you need of warm clothing (insulated overall, hat, mittens, winter boots and headlamps). After dressing up we will harness up the dogs and head out on the trip. We will be back in town again around 16:00 (17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays).
Minimum age: 12 years
For families travelling with younger kids, we also offer custom made or other organised full day tours where everyone can participate. You will find links to these tours at the bottom of this page.
