Fjord Photo Tour
We often drive from Tromso to Sommaroy, (also known as the Summer Island). One of the most scenic routes through valleys and fjords, seas and lakes, white sandy beaches and iconic bridges.
A road trip that you will forever remember. We might encounter reindeers as they often wander around this area.
Depending on the time of the year, this trip can become a true safari through Tromso`s best arctic pearls. Add this "Tromso in a nutshell" to your bucket list or book it now!
Included: Small meal or snack (soup or expedition meal, coffee and/or waffles/cookies), pick up/drop off at our shop: Roald Amundsens plass 1A.
Please bring: Warm clothes, even in summer.

Here is a list of the "possible" (not mandatory) stops / experiences. The trips stops normally in only 3-4 of these locations according to the weather and road conditions.
• Crossing the bridge to the Whale Island (Kvaløya)
• Possible stop along the way to the next stop - if we spot reindeers in that area.
• Ersfjord, view point.
• Flexible stop along Kattfjordeidet.
• Stop at one of the turquoise water beaches, (Could be Sandseshamn, Sandviksletta, Sommarøy or other depending on the conditions on site.)
• Alternative stop at Sjøtun's pier, view point to Katfjord.
• Alternative stop at the end of the road in Hillesøy, with a viewpoint to the ocean.
• Lunch (light meal) at the restaurant in Sommarøy Arctic Hotel or at an alternative place.
• Travel back to Tromsø.
In case of an avalanche in the area, or any road closure, or if the guide feels fit, alternative route with other stops could include:
• Tirpitz sunken ship, at Håkøya.
• Tysnes, viewpoint.
• Hella, carvings.
• Straumbukta, idyllic old houses.
In case of severe weather in the region, we may offer you an alternative route or join together with other partners in order to offer you an alternative tour.
Important information: • This tour requires a minimum of 4 people. If we do not reach the minimum amount of people, we will team up with one of our partners that runs a similar tour.
• In case we still do not get a minimum of 4 people, or we decide to cancel due to bad weather, we will issue you a full refund.
• We aim to travel in groups of 8-15 people on a minibus but in high season, we may take occasionally 2 groups together on comfortable coach.
