Norway's oldest Baroque Theater - a cultural institution in Halden! The Theatre contains over 100 original stage sets from 1838 - 1916, and is still an important and popular stage for theater and musical performances.
Fredrikshalds Theatre is the only completely preserved Baroque theatre in Norway.
The exterior, interior and the slanted stage are a unique gem in the realm of theater history. Approximately 150 of the original stage sets and backdrops from 1838 - 1916 have also been preserved.
Today the stage is very popular, used for performances and concerts by visiting groups and the local arts community.
