Located in the centre of Bergen, just opposite the Fish Market, Fresquito is a restaurant and bar with tapas based on Spanish and South American cuisine.

Fresquito is a tapas bar and restaurant for those who love Spanish cuisine, South American culinary traditions, and the finest wines, cocktails and music. Chef Cristian Ponce, who has extensive experience from top restaurants in Cádiz on the southern coast of Spain, is running the kitchen. He has brought with him Spanish specialties such as pescaíto frito (fried fish) and tapas and designed a menu based on fresh seafood. 

Restaurant manager Giovanni Sanchez, Gio, is the driving force behind Fresquito. There is a good chance that you will meet Gio at the door, where he dispenses hugs, excellent service, and personal recommendations when it comes to both food and drink. 

Fresquito is right next door to the historic Frescohallen restaurant at Bergen Børs Hotel, and first opened its doors in March 2024. Fresquito has thus also opened its doors in the middle of Bergen city centre, with direct access to both Vågsallmenningen square, the Fish Market, and the harbour, Vågen. 

Table reservations are not available at Fresquito.
