Glamping at Handeland Lodge in Sauda

Handeland Lodge offers the perfect combination of comfort and adventure in beautiful natural surroundings. The 23 square metre dome is designed for 2-3 people, equipped with a comfortable and fully made-up double bed. From the seating area in front of the window, you can enjoy the beautiful landscape right outside the door.

The dome is equipped with an integrated toilet module, fireplace and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary facilities for easy cooking, including two gas burners and cooking utensils. All the necessary cooking utensils and crockery are available. You can also grill your food on the fire pit outside.

Situated at the foot of some of Rogaland's finest mountain hikes, Domen is an ideal base for exploring majestic peaks such as Skaulen, which stands 1554 metres above sea level. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around the campfire afterwards. In summer, there are several natural swimming spots just a stone's throw from the dome, perfect for families. Just 800 metres away, you can visit a newly restored goat farm, where you can meet goats and buy locally produced food and drink. Explore fishing opportunities for mountain trout or take advantage of our bouldering facilities with a personal instructor. Winter offers spectacular opportunities for cross-country skiing and ski touring. Guide available on request.

Sauda town centre is just a short 20-25 minute drive away, with activities such as swimming in the bathing complex, mini golf course, golf, charming cafés, restaurants and shops.

The dome is strategically located just one kilometre from the National Tourist Route (FV 520), conveniently situated between Sauda and Røldal. Free parking is available 200 metres from the dome. In winter, parking is available along FV 520, approximately 800 metres away, with snowmobile transport available on request.
