Saudasjøen
Honganvikfossen in Sauda
The waterfall known as Honganvikfossen seems beautifully suspended above the northern end of the Saudafjord in Ryfylke.
Many know the falls under a different name, Brudesløret (the bridal veil), and it is particularly striking in the spring and in the autumn – when greater quantities of water flow. You can see the waterfall from trunk road Fv. 520, part of the Norwegian Scenic Route Ryfylke, just before the road between Sauda and Ropeid enters a tunnel. If you wish to dwell on the scenic experience, take the turnoff that leads you to the foot of the falls.
