The entrance to "The Home of the Waterfalls – Fosseheimen" is located by Hov Hyttegrend with twenty cabins in Sunnfjord in the middle of the beautiful Fjord Norway.
The entrance to "The Home of the Waterfalls – Fosseheimen" is located by Hov Hyttegrend in Sunnfjord in the middle of the beautiful Fjord Norway. From this location it is a short distance to the glaciers and to the fjords. The protected Gaular watercourse is close by with mighty waterfalls, rapids and idyllic lakes. The area has plenty of fish (trout), berries and mushrooms.
The Waterfall trail – Fossestien goes right past Hov Hyttegrend, this is a 21 km long path along the protected Gaular watercourse. You can start the hike from wherever you want. Four places are organized with signs, maps and parking spots. It is organized daily transportation along the waterfall trail by Hov Hyttegrend at 10:00 AM.
The service building has a reception, kiosk, telephone, kitchen, toilets, showers and laundry room.
The camp has parking space for 12-15 campers / caravans and 14 electricity supplies.
