Welcome to an inspiring walk in Theodor Kittelsen's footsteps! You will visit Kittelsen's childhood home, walk through the narrow streets of Kragerø town and visit places that helped shape the young Kittelsen in to the artist and person we know and love today.

The well known artist and illustrator Theodor Kittelsen was born in Kragerø, and lived here for the first years of his life.

Theodor Kittelsen has a significant place in Norwegian history of arts and folklore. He is widely known for his interpertations and illustrations of trolls and other mythical creatures , but he is so much more! He drew and painted people and nature, and was also an excellent satirist.
