Koss Gård
Koss Gård enjoys a beautiful setting in an open landscape with spectacular views of Mjøsa, Gjøvik, Furuberget, Skreia, and – on a clear day – Espa. Its history, dating back a thousand years, tells of royal owners, a strong connection with the church, and exciting events in more recent times.
Koss Gård offers accommodation, function facilities, meeting rooms, special events, and excellent culinary experiences. The premises are fully licensed.
Accommodation in the main farmhouse
The main farmhouse has three double rooms, but can sleep up to nine people with extra beds. Meals can be booked in advance, or you can opt for self-catering. This is agreed at the time of booking. Cleaning, bed linen, towels, and soap are included in the price.
Cabin in the garden
The cabin in the garden is a basic log building from the 80s, and sleeps up to four people. It is a popular choice for overnight stays, and has one room with a small double bed, a mezzanine sleeping two people, a kitchenette, a wood burner, and a sofa group. There is electricity, but no running water. The cabin has its own bathroom with toilet, basin, and shower in the basement of the main farmhouse, only 15 m away. This is a cosy, intimate, and affordable accommodation alternative for those looking for a back-to-basics cabin experience.
Visitors tend to thoroughly enjoy the cabin in the garden, which was originally known as the “sulking shed”. These days, the sulking has been replaced by smiles.
Hostess
Liv is owner and hostess at Koss Gård. Over the past few years, she has restored and refurbished the buildings at the farm, and has created the ideal venue for functions, events, and overnight stays.
Her experience is long and diverse, and she has a professional background as nurse, physiotherapist, economist, NLP coach, and educationalist. In more recent years, she has worked in the fields of immigration, drug abuse, psychiatry, and relief work. This is the foundation on which her perspective on humanity and the way she runs Koss Gård is based. Liv is enthusiastic and interested, and collects good experiences. Her aim is for visitors to the farm to gain new insights and experience wellness, enjoyment, and good moments.
