Maistua lies beautifully near a hiking terrain in Medkilaheia which lies 5 km south of Harstad. The cabin was earlier rused as a radio-link station, hence the high altitude of the cabin (322 m.a.s). The view is just scenic and unforgettable. North you can view Harstad, Grytøya and Senja, whilst in the east towards Dyrøya, Andørja and Rolløya. Let your eyes feast on the romantic nature of Northern Norway.

The main part of the cabin is equipped with a small kitchen and a bunk bed. The loft has 2 beds with a panoramic view of the Vågsfjord. With an electronic stove to prepare your food and a woodstove to keep the warmth, is Maistua the host for a delightful Northern Norwegian night. Live it up Norwegian style and drink fresh water from the water stream south of the cabin. During winter, you need to bring your own water to the cabin.
Enjoy the evenings in the VikingDome near the cabin and just enjoy the view, and the soothing calm after a day of activity in Harstad.
