Overview
Details

Tryvann, the highest peak overlooking Oslo, is the biggest stage for outdoor summer activities near the city. Every year before the snow arrives, there is a running race from the bottom of the mountain to the top of "Oslos bratteste”, which means "Oslo's steepest".

Hike up this hill to experience an incredible workout and compare your time against the best up-hill runners in the world. Don’t worry, there is a coffee and waffle café to enjoy at the top while you relax and soak in the incredible view of the fantastic surrounding forest.

Difficulty level: Difficult
Distance, one way: 2.8 kilometres (1.75 miles)
Elevation change: 430 metres (1410 feet)
Time consumption: 0,5–1,5 hours
Transportation: Take metro no. 1 (Frognerseteren) to Voksenkollen station. Walk to the bottom of the hill before challenging yourself on the way up.
