Sortland Museum
The museum and the museum shop are opening three completely new exhibitions this summer. The first exhibition is about Sortland's legendary mayor PC Reinsnes.
His presence in politics, as well as his great visions, made him one of Sortland's greatest community builders and innovators. Reinsnes' big concern was a new administration building, and this building became the listed town hall we have today. The exhibition "The ridiculed innovator" about Reinsnes and Sortland after the war, is free for everyone.
The other exhibition our guests can see is "GaiaDrøv". Together with Gaiavesterålen and all our partners, we proudly present the exhibition about sheep and the farming community here in the north. Here you can get to know Petra, the little lamb who can be followed through GPS.
Our main attraction is the Vesterålen model. This model is a 3D model of Vesterålen that shows liveaboards, infrastructure, settlement patterns, wildlife and much more! A fantastic, advanced and massive model that gives guests a whole new perspective of our beautiful region!

NB! From 15 June to 31 October 2024, the Sortland Museum can be found upstairs in the old cinema at Sortland, in Parkveien 2.

Prices Adults: NOK 80
Students: NOK 65
Group: NOK 65 per person (min. 10 pers.)
