Sunnfjord Museum
At Sunnfjord Museum, you can learn more about the cultural heritage and daily life of the inner Sunnfjord villages.
When you step into one of our small log houses, you step into the life of a 19th century Sunnfjord inhabitant. Along the paths between turfed roofs, hayracks and a small mill brook, you get a sense of the everyday life of our great-great-great-grandparents.
Cultural heritage and everyday lifeThe open-air museum displays cultural heritage and everyday life from the inner Sunnfjord villages. With a total of 32 historical buildings, you can experience a traditional smallholding, a homestead and a mountain farm. Down by the lake you’ll find a boathouse, and you can go for a swim and say hello to our goats.
