The Garvann falls in Skien are a pearl with pools and waterfalls in a row. Here you can take a refreshing bath in these incredibly beautiful potholes and sunbathe on flat rocks.
Directions
About. 18 km from the center of Skien, in the direction of Valebø in Skien, there is a sign along the road marked Garvannsvegen.
A little further in from the main road there is a barrier, where you can park your car. After a 10-15 minute walk you will come to Garvann falls. Follow the forest path all the way up until you come to a waterfall with flat rocks and small puddles. It is easiest to get into the water there.
Take the bike to the Garvann falls
You can also take a bike with you and cycle on a gravel road past Garvann and around towards Svanstul. The trip is about 10 km long and when you get there you can take a refreshing bath in one of the potholes.
