The largest collection of items from pre-historic times and the Middle Ages found in Norway.

The Museum of Cultural History is located in one of Oslo's most beautiful jugend buildings, and shows permanent and changing exhibitions on four floors.

The ground floor is home to large collections from the Middle Ages, gold and silver treasures, and the interdisciplinary exhibition Collapse.

The ethnographic exhibitions on the second and fourth floors exhibit Egyptian mummies and Antique art, as well as items from Arctic expeditions and African, American and East Asian cultures.

Two museums in the same ticket: Use your ticket from the Historical Museum to get free entry to the Viking Ship Museum within 48 hours.

Free entry on the last saturday of the month.
