Vasetdansen is located along road 51, 25 km from Fagernes and 30 km from Gol. 

The River Tislea, which winds its way through the camping ground, is one of Norway's best mountain trout rivers. On the Stølsvidda plateau, close to Tisleidalen, you can still find mountain farms with cattle and sheep that graze freely in their summer pasture grounds.
