Nice easy walk of approx. 6.5 km in total, with a lovely picnic area halfway by Krokvannet! Follow FV 124 from Bergenhuskrysset in Rakkestad towards Strømsfoss (Aremark) for approx. 6 km. Turn left, follow the signs to Budalen/Skrabberud for about 7 km. Toll road NOK 40.00 - Vipps can be used. Park at Dunderbrua on the right side of the road. Cross the bridge and take to higher ground, follow the DNT sign and the blue-marked path to Krokvannet. Along the way you pass two old seats, Holtet and Gjerberg seats. On the hill where you look down on Dæhli hytta and Merratjern is the place called Hvilestein, here is an old stone slab on which many people have taken a rest. After a short while you will reach Lille Krokvannet, here it is also a great place for a short stop and take pictures. Soon after you are at Krokvannet, follow the path over the bridges to the other side of the dam. Here you will find a campfire and probably some firewood as well as stools to enjoy your packed lunch and coffee on. If you do not want to go further into Fjella, we recommend that you follow the path back the way you came, over the bridges and to the junction at Lille Krokvannet. Here you take to higher ground and go in the direction of Gjølstadmosen. When you reach Gjølstadmosen, turn left and follow the blue-marked path past Hølbekk to Skrabberud syd. When you now reach Skrabberud south and the road, turn left and after a few meters you are back at the car park where you started. We recommend that you use Turkart Fjella!
