Gol

In the village of Gol in Hallingdal, you’ll find both tranquil nature experiences and action-packed adventures for the whole family – all year round.

Gol in Hallingdal is located in Eastern Norway, midway between Oslo and Bergen. With their warm inland climate, Gol and Golsfjellet are perfect for an active summer holiday. Here you can go tour cycling and mountain biking, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. And if you’re looking for action, stop by Gol Motor & Fritidspark.

In the Gol town centre, you’ll find a selection of shops and restaurants. If you want to go for a swim, you can either enjoy the tropical atmosphere in the waterpark Tropicana or take a dip in the Hallingdalselva river or Hallingstampen.

In the winter, Gol turns into a snowy paradise. From early November until late spring, you can go cross-country skiing in kilometres upon kilometres of prepared tracks. If you are more interested in the rush of downhill skiing, Gol’s three alpine centres offer slopes of all difficulties, terrain parks, children’s areas, and wonderful Hallingdal powder.

Are you visiting Gol in the autumn? Don’t miss the fun sheep festival Fårefestivalen!
