In the Gol town centre, you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants.
If you fancy a swim, you can either bask in the tropical atmosphere in the water park Tropicana or take a dip in the Hallingdalselva river or Hallingstampen.
In winter, Gol turns into a snowy paradise. From early November until late spring, you can go cross-country skiing in kilometres upon kilometres of prepared tracks.
If you are more interested in the rush of downhill skiing, Gol’s three alpine centres offer slopes of all difficulties, terrain parks, children’s areas, and wonderful Hallingdal powder.

Whether you are a very careful person or you are looking for some real action, there is a snowmobile activity appropriate for you. We have quiet elk safaris where the experience of nature is the most important, and long snowmobile tracks where you really can enjoy the power of the machines. For those who can not get enough, we can finish with drag racing. We started the snowmobile season as soon as there is enough snow. Normally the season lasts from December to April. To drive a snowmobile the operator must hold a driving license for snowmobile or car. On the safari, it is possible to be a passenger. Snowmobile track: In our area on Dagali Opplevelser we have different snowmobile trails, ranging from 1 to 5 km. Here we drive up to 10 scooters at the same time. On the racing track, we use the Yamaha Phazer, a lightweight one-seater snowmobile that is easy to maneuver and very talkative. The course consists of several turns and straight stretches

Dagali Opplevelser have several ice tracks on the Numedalslågen river. The tracks has easy access from the base at Dagali Airport! All the cars are rigged with rollcage and rally seat. You can choose rally studs or normal studs. The tracks are minimum 1km long, with different shape. With rally studs, you will have full controll on the ice!

We warmly welcome you to Kamben Høyfjellshotell, situated on Golsfjellet mountain plateau between Hallingdal and Valdres. We have preserved the old style of timber walls, rose paint and a cosy farm house atmosphere. We can offer 70 beds in 40 full standard rooms, and in some rooms we have preserved the romantic farm style where you can experience a dream night in a four-poster bed. The rooms are spread over 3 floors and are all equipped with shower, WC, TV and telephone. Some also have a balcony. In addition, we have 8 cabins and an apartment with 3 bedroooms and 2 bathrooms for rent. The food we serve is prepared with love and dedication to our nature after old recipes that we have been in our family for generations. We also use old preservation methods and preserve food ourselves, as we always have. As our guest, you are served a 5-course dinner which also can be booked by non-guests. Also included in the pension rates are breakfast and a self-made lunch package to be enjoyed outdoors on your hiking, cycling or skiing tour. The cycling route Mjølkevegen passes outside our door, and there are a number of great cycling, hiking and skiing possibilities from our hotel door. Courses and conferences Kamben is an ideal place for meetings, courses and conferences where the social aspect in the evenings is an important part of the event. Our pleasant and airy conference room has AV-equipment, and there are smaller meeting rooms as well. The hotel can be booked exclusively.

Today the third generation of the Nibstad family runs and owns the hotel. Express buses from Oslo and Geilo stop in Gol, and local buses take you between the destinations in Hallingdal.
If you’re driving from Oslo or Bergen, take Rv7 through Hallingdal to Gol.
From Trondheim, drive south on the E6 to Vingrom, then west towards Hallingdal.
