Downhill biking in Hallingdal

Downhill cycling suits adrenaline seeking cyclists with some experience. Rent a bike, or bring your own. Hallingdal offers good downhill cycling. Nesbyen is known for high speed riding and has shuttle based downhill biking, while Ål in Hallingdal has summer ski lifts that take you to the top of the tracks.

The season lasts from the end of May or the end of June to the end of September.
Bike rental is offered in all destinations in the region. Quality and maintenance vary from place to place. Experienced cyclists are advised to bring their own bike or make arrangements in advance.
The famous Bergen Railway passes through the Hallingdal region. You can bring your bike on trains and buses or take a local bike taxi.
