Alf Terje Hana (born 1 October 1955) is a Norwegian guitarist, composer, and bandleader from Stavanger, known by the artist name Athana. He began his musical journey in the late 1960s and has since been a key figure in Stavanger’s music scene. Hana has played in bands such as Crystal, Wasaband, and Timebeat, and since 2000 has led the Athana project, releasing over 18 critically acclaimed albums.

His music explores electroacoustic, experimental, and ambient landscapes, and he has collaborated with renowned artists including Stewart Copeland (The Police), Eivind Aarset, and Sidsel Endresen. Hana has also composed for film, theatre, and commercial projects, and has developed his own series of guitar effects.
