The Hill 1125

The restaurant “The Hill 1125” stands proudly atop Hovden in the Oppdal Ski Center. This iconic establishment is a signature landmark of Oppdal, visible from the village below.

Both locals from Oppdal, cabin-goers, and tourists from near and far come to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view and to taste the exciting offerings from the kitchen. At “The Hill 1125”, you can indulge in Italian pizza baked in a traditional wood-fired stone oven, delicious sandwiches, soups and stews, cakes and chocolates, and not to forget, freshly baked cinnamon buns.

The restaurant’s opening hours are aligned with the seasons. During the winter season, it is open whenever the Hovden lift is operating – every weekend as well as on Thursdays and Fridays. When the winter season ends, the restaurant remains closed until the gondola opens for the summer season, during which both the gondola and the restaurant are open daily throughout the summer. In the fall, the restaurant opens on weekends, and during the autumn school holiday, it is usually open every day.

The restaurant is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, as it is accessible to wheelchair users and families with strollers, despite being on a mountaintop. The gondolas are designed to accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, and bikes, and inside the restaurant, you will find both a handicap-accessible restroom and a changing table for babies.

Note: Be aware that the gondola and the restaurant might close due to adverse weather conditions, so it's crucial to check the weather forecast in advance.
