The coronavirus and travels to Norway

From Monday 16 March at 8 am local time, the Norwegian government closed the borders for all but Norwegian citizens and foreigners that possess a residence or work permit. Everybody that doesn’t have a residence permit or work permit must leave the country. The government also discourage all non-essential domestic travel.

For updates on travelling to Norway now, please see our updates on Visitnorway.com

If travellers are experiencing symptoms like fever, sore throat, chest pain and breathing difficulties while travelling in Norway, please stay in your hotel room and contact guest service by telephone, or call the 24-hour Norwegian medical service at (+47) 116 117 for guidance and assistance.

How to promote Norway as a tourist destination

Is Norway part of your product portfolio, or do you plan to include Norwegian travels in the future? In either case, you have come to the right place. In this section of Visitnorway, you will find everything you need to sell Norway.

Norway Expert: Our e-learning program

Norway Expert is a fun way to learn more about tourism in Norway. Through images, videos and helpful tips, the 14 learning modules answers all the questions your clients may have about the country.

Please note: The Master Test has temporarily been deactivated as we are working on a new and improved version, which will arrive later this year. We are sorry about this inconvenience but feel reassured that you will be a Norway Expert with or without the diploma.
