Frank Sinatra, known as "Ol' Blue Eyes" and "The Chairman of the Board", was one of the 20th century's most influential and best-selling artists. With roots from Hoboken, New Jersey, he began his career in the swing era before breaking through as a solo artist in the 1940s and becoming a teenage idol with his distinctive voice and timeless style. Sinatra revolutionised popular music with classic albums such as In the Wee Small Hours and Songs for Swingin' Lovers!, and later started his own record label, Reprise Records. Alongside music he had an impressive film career, with Oscar-winning roles and iconic films such as From Here to Eternity and The Man with the Golden Arm. As frontman of "The Rat Pack" and a long-time friend of Sammy Davis Jr., Sinatra was a cultural force who broke boundaries both in music and society.
Ben Jones is an internationally award-winning singer, comedian, host and actor based in New York. He made his debut at Carnegie Hall in 2021 and has been awarded "The Bay Area Critics Circle Award" in the category "Best Performance in a Musical". In a tribute to Frank Sinatra we invite you to an unforgettable evening at Ole Bull Scene together with Ben Jones and Norsk Jazzorkester with Felix Peikli. Welcome to "Remembering Frank Sinatra"!
