Plan your trip to Asker, Bærum and Hurumhalvøya

The Asker and Bærum district is about a half-hour drive from Oslo and is also easy to get to by boat or bike.

Visit its impressive sculpture park, located in beautiful natural surroundings at Bærums Verk. The former ironworks, from 1610, has been transformed into a cosy market with artwork, galleries, shops, and restaurants.

If you love shopping, Norway’s largest shopping mall, Sandvika, is only 20 minutes by car from both Bærum and Oslo.

Sandvika and Asker offer lovely beaches and swimming spots like Kalvøya and Kadettangen and Hvalstrand bad in Asker.

Follow the coastal trail from Asker to Hurumhalvøya and explore all the charming gems along the way, including Vollen, Sætre, Filtvet, and Holmsbu.

Nearby mountains and seemingly endless coastal trails make the region of Asker and Bærum a popular destination year round. During winter, there is excellent alpine and cross country skiing. The little ones can enjoy meeting and walking with cute alpacas at several farms in the region.
