From Voss, a bus takes you on a scenic ride down to the small village of Gudvangen by the Nærøyfjord.

The weather can be unpredictable, but you can also get days like this, even in late October. PS: don't forget to bring warm clothes, gloves, and a hat!
After a couple of hours, you enter the village of Flåm, where you'll have time to stroll around and grab something to eat.
Or even better, go hiking, cycling, kayaking, or fly down one of Europe's longest ziplines, before enjoying a peaceful night here.
In any case, you'll have time enough for a refreshing dip in the fjord before retreating into a nice hot, relaxing sauna. Aaah!

The journey: Start or end your journey in Bergen or Oslo, or make it a round trip from either destination. You can also take just one leg of the trip by travelling from/to Voss, Geilo, or Flåm.
Duration: You can take the whole trip in one very long day, but spending a night or two by the fjord, surrounding mountain villages and cities is definitely recommended to really enjoy the trip and have time to explore the area. Bear in mind that the days get shorter in November and December, so you should plan to see the top sights during daylight hours.
