Whether hiking or sightseeing, you are guaranteed to appreciate the stunning views in this UNESCO-listed area in Fjord Norway.

Stay for a while, there is so much to do!

Walk the Fosseråsa national hiking trail and pass behind the Storsæter waterfall.

Imagine living on the small farms Skageflå or Knivsflå – clinging several hundred meters up the mountainside. It's a steep but rewarding hike.

In Norway, you can pick wild strawberries, blueberries and other tasty berries in the woods. Many farms also let you pick your own fresh berries and fruit straight from the orchard.

Or simply visit Valldal, known as the ‘strawberry valley’ and buy some freshly picked strawberries!

At Valldal Safteri you can taste juice and jams made from fresh local berries!

Geiranger has achieved the certification Sustainable Destination. Although this does not mean that the destination is sustainable, it does mean that it has made a commitment to work systematically to reduce the negative effects of tourism, while strengthening its positive ripple effects.

You can help to reduce your own footprint, too, by staying longer. There is so much to see and do!
