The capital has several eyries that are well worth a visit. Find them on hotel, museum, and restaurant rooftops.

  • MUNCH has a fantastic rooftop cocktail bar called Kranen, which is located on the museum's top floor. Here, you are guaranteed a great view of the city.

  • Sommerro, opening in September 2022, will be home to Oslo's first rooftop pool and bar!

  • Vulkan is the place to visit for good food and fantastic drinks. Visit MAD at Bar's rooftop terrace, near Mathallen, for some good times.

  • Mynt Takterrasse at Sentralen, is perfect for those looking for a fun night with DJ's and beers.

  • Summit Bar is designed to make guests feel like they're standing on the summit of a mountain, and you'll have arresting views of the Oslofjord.

Check out even more options:

Clubbing with a view in Bergen

Ready for an epic view? At Taket Roofgarden in Bergen, you can take in the mountains Fløyen and Ulriken and historic Bryggen – all at once! The rooftop terrace is also the perfect place for some fresh air, after hitting the dance floor at Taket Nightclub, located on the floor below.

If you want to combine shopping and lunch with a view, head to the roof of Xhibition shopping centre, where you'll find Jada Roofgarden.

Food and drink by the fjord in Trondheim

  • Kitchen & Table at Clarion Hotel in Trondheim provides fjord views and delectable food! Its exciting menu combines local produce and rustic American flavours, and, of course, it has a tasty cocktail menu.

  • Rockheim, Norway's national museum of pop and rock, also has a restaurant with a view. The Rockheim Restaurant is located on the museum's fifth floor, where you can look out across both the city and the fjord!

  • P-Hotels Brattøra have an amazing roof terrace, where you can enjoy the views of the whole town, and have something good to eat and drink.

  • If you want to see the whole city in just one hour, visit Egon in the Tyholttårnet tower! The restaurant floor rotates slowly, giving you a 360-degree view of Trondheim.

Rooftop terraces in Stavanger

On the top floor of Comfort Hotel Square in the city centre of Stavanger, you'll find a roof terrace with a 360-degree view of the city! You can enjoy food and drink from its bar and restaurant on the terrace.

High above Bodø in Northern Norway

Delicious wines, fresh seafood and expansive views of Bodø? Yes, please! At Roast Restaurant and Bar on the seventeenth floor of Scandic Havet, you're up for a good time with unhindered views of the ocean, fjord and surrounding mountains, both inside the restaurant and outside on the terrace.

Another bar with a view is Top13 Bar and Lounge, located on the top floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel in the city centre. With the bar's 360-degree panoramic view, you might even spot some northern lights during winter, while in the summer you'll have the best view of the midnight sun.

If you're in Narvik, make sure to visit the Tøtta bar at Scandic Hotel Narvik! Here, you'll have views of the city, mountains, and the Ofotfjord through the bar's panorama windows. You can also take a stroll on the outdoor roof terrace for an even more airy experience.

If you want to taste Arctic food inspired by the Sami culture, visit the roof of the Quality Hotel Grand Royal, where you'll find Linken Restaurant & Bar – an epic view is also included! If the sky is clear, you might even catch a glimpse of the northern lights during winter.
