Extreme adrenaline
Fly, run, dive, climb or jump.
Whatever you need to satisfy your extreme adrenaline cravings!
Here are Norway's top tips for action enthusiasts!
2. Tandem paragliding
Jump from a mountain!
When the safety equipment is secured, jump from a peak and fly with the wind! If the weather is good, you can even ascend into the clouds.
You can try tandem paragliding in Voss, Bergen, and Oslo.
3. Fly like Superman
If falling from the sky sounds a bit extreme, try flying in a wind tunnel – the perfect activity for the whole family!
Visit Scandinavia's largest wind tunnel in Ullensaker or Norway's first vertical, recirculating wind tunnel in Voss (pictured).
4. Bungee jumping
1, 2, 3, jump!
Dive into a deep canyon (while securely attached to a thick rubber cord, of course).
Check out Norway's highest bungee jump (153 metres) in Lyngenfjord, or try the ones in Vennesla or Rjukan (pictured).
5. Bobsleighing
Slide down the only bob and luge track in the Nordic region!
In the winter you can try the Bobraft that can reach speeds of 100km/h, but for the ultimate adrenaline rush, try Taxi Bob which reaches up to 120km/h!
In summertime the track is arranged for the Wheel Bob.
The track was built for the Olympics in 1994 and is located in the Lillehammer Olympic Sliding Center.
6. Magasuget
Wanna really get that tingly feeling in your stomach?
Climb the 16 metre-high tower to the Magasuget water slide and experience its 9-metre free fall, if you dare!
You'll find Magasuget in Bø Sommarland Waterpark in Eastern Norway.
8. RIB touring
This is the perfect combination of a fjord tour and animal safari – with an adrenaline kick!
Feel the breeze in your hair while racing over the waves!
9. Extreme sport festival
Visit Ekstremsportveko (extreme sport week), the largest festival of its kind in the world, hosted every year in Voss, in Fjord Norway.
For a whole week, international athletes compete in kayaking, rafting, skydiving, climbing, cliff diving, bmx, wind tunnel, BASE jumping, longboarding, and much more. Many of the competitions are free to watch.
The last three days of the event are spiced up with concerts by national and international bands!
These activities might sound extreme, but many of them are actually perfect for the whole family!
Are you a real adrenaline junkie who just can't get enough?
