News - A unique accommodation. A hidden hanging blueberry, a tree-top tent, not far from Oslo - approx. 40 minutes. As a guest, you get the opportunity to sleep in Blueberry, an exclusive, hidden treetop tent in the forest. You get the opportunity to participate in the life on a small farm. Whether you want to enjoy the silence, go for a walk in the forest, pick your own eggs for breakfast, or join in looking after our miniature animals, we have something to offer for everyone who wants to be closer to Norwegian nature. The place The blueberry is shaped like a ball that hangs in the forest behind their farm. It hangs 3-4 meters from the ground with access via a ladder. It is unique in Norway and offers a different experience where you feel the movements of the trees. It is designed and installed by engineers and wood specialists. Inside Blåbæret there is 1 double and 1 single bed. In the summer, the wooden tent has insect netts on all windows and the door. You have a private solar-heated shower as well as a private composting toilet on the ground. Other facilities include an outdoor food preparation area including a gas grill and necessary plates and cutlery. For winter use, the treetent is insulated and there is a small wood stove for cozy stays in colder weather. In winter, you also have access to a private indoor shower and kitchen. The modern composting toilet at the wooden tent also works well in winter. What do you have access to as a guest? The farm is about 90 acres and lies on the border of a large undeveloped forest area. As their guest, you have easy access to the forest, barn, pastures, garden and outdoor areas. Other things worth knowing They have a variety of livestock from mini horses, mini donkeys and mini goats, to chickens, dogs and cats. They will show you how to handle the animals safely. Since tha cabin is up in the trees, altitude, they have an age limit of 10 years. It has USB ports for charging phones and indoor lighting.

There are also indoor and outdoor Bluetooth speakers – so you can enjoy your favorite music, whether you are cooking or sunbathing. A spacious terrace with a summer feel The large terrace of approx. 50 m2 gives you the ultimate summer feeling. Forbord Dome is an exclusive glamping experience for two people in the heart of nature. You can sleep under the stars, enjoy the panoramic view over the Trondheimsfjorden, catch a magical sunset or see the fantastic northern lights if you're lucky. The dome is a full 23 square meters with a window in the roof and in the front and it is placed on a terrace on two levels with a seating area and fire pit. There are many great hiking opportunities in the area, how about a trip to the top of Forbordsfjellet? The dome is centrally located approx. 10 minutes from Trondheim Airport Værnes in Stjørdal and approx. 40 min. from Trondheim. The dome is placed by itself in the hillside up towards Forbordsfjellet, approx. 300 m.a.s.l and is open all year around. There are two parking options and the distance from parking to the dome is from 600-1500 meters depending on parking/route. You walk on a forest road from the car park to get all the way to the dome. In the dome there is a king-size double bed and a seating area for two people. There is plenty of heat in the dome (wood stove/diesel heater), but we recommend bringing warm clothes on cold days. You don't have to leave the dome to go to the bathroom, it has a separate room with a toilet. You are welcome to bring a dog or other pets, but due to allergies, these cannot be inside the dome. We do have a great dog house outside though. There is 10 liters of drinking water in the dome on arrival, otherwise little access to clean drinking water. You also have access to a primus and two saucepans for easy cooking. Remember that the primus must be used outdoors. There is also a grill grate for the brazier that can be used for grilling. Free access to tea and coffee.

Enjoy the silence and tranquility of an arctic dome located close to a historic seating area located in the municipality of Høylandet, north of Trøndelag. Høylandet municipality is along county road 17, and is a perfect place to make a stop if you are driving the E6 or the coastal highway (F17) north or south. Here you rent the entire space, and choose whether to stay as seating rooftops did in the 1950s, or perhaps more comfortably in the nearby seating area. It is 1.3 km to walk up to the dome from the parking lot, so we recommend at least two nights to get the full benefits of the place and the surrounding area. Founded in 1870, Britannia Hotel was built to serve British aristocrats who visited Trondheim for its legendary salmon fishing. Today, the Britannia cherishes its rich 150-year history of serving explorers, royalty, dignitaries and celebrities from around the world. A privately owned, independently operated hotel, the Britannia reopened in April 2019 after being closed for a dramatic, 3-year, $150 million renovation.
OrkangerBårdshaug Herregård
Bårdshaug Herregård is situated in quiet and peaceful surroundings in Orkanger, 42 km southwest of Trondheim. This historic manor was the home of the entrepreneur and man of the world Christian Thams – architect, minister, landowner and consul. The beautiful and unique manor and its accompanying buildings creates a fabulous setting for the hotel. The hotel has been expanded several times and comprises of buildings dating from 1890 to 2010. The hotel has 89 rooms and a capacity of up to 167 guests, with rooms in the historic manor house, the charming station buildings (dating from the 1890s) and the full-service hotel building (dating from 1980 and 2010). The hotel is centrally located in Orkanger within walking distance of everything the town offers, including shops, culture, cosy cafés and nice recreational areas. During the salmon fishing season, guests can fish in the hotel’s exclusive beat in the river Orkla, while the surrounding terrain is ideal for recreation (hiking or cross-country skiing) year-round.

Here you can spend the night in a sleeping carriage from the 1960s, in the middle of Namsen. This is a carriage that Gunde Svan once bought from Norway and we have bought back. Here you will find 10 compartments with 2 beds in each overlooking the river. Good mattresses in each bed. In each couch there is a washbasin with hot and cold water. The rooms are kept virtually identical to when the wagon was in operation. The sleeping carriage and the sanitary carriage are separated from the other cars by a distance of about 20 meters where there is a large seating area. This is reserved for overnight guests. Here you can enjoy the silence and calm with something good in the glass. In connection with the sleeping carriage there is a sanitary carriage with toilets, showers and a small drying room.

Accommodation of the year at Helgøya – Tree tents (Stingray). Helgøya Climbing Adventure Park has five tree-tents for hire. Each tent sleeps three adults. The tents can be set up at a location of your choice, but you are very welcome to “hang around” in the forest here at Helgøya Climbing Adventure Park, close to our cosy woodland shelter. The woodland shelter is in a secluded setting within easy reach of the climbing park, and has a campfire with firewood at hand. There are also outdoor toilet facilities available to those spending the night in a tree tent. A full day in the high-ropes park followed by meal by the campfire and a night in a tree tent is the perfect outdoor adventure!
