    Steinkjer

    The Gourmet Restaurant "Experience"

The gourmet restaurant Experience – A Journey Through Taste and History At Bjerkem Farm in Henning, Steinkjer, you’ll find Experience – a unique gourmet restaurant offering an unforgettable evening of organic, locally sourced cuisine. The restaurant is housed in a former barn, beautifully transformed into a rustic yet atmospheric dining space and bar. Here, you will enjoy a 16-course tasting menu that evolves with the seasons, paired with carefully selected wine packages or non-alcoholic juice and cocktail pairings. Behind this concept is owner and head chef Kim Tore Sjøbakk, who brings invaluable experience from Michelin-starred restaurants in London. At Experience, you don’t just enjoy a meal – you embark on an experience for life. From the moment you arrive, you are transported 150 years back in time, to an era when food was grown and harvested for personal consumption. Kim’s philosophy is simple: the process of sourcing and gathering ingredients is just as important as the cooking itself – and deserves its own story. His goal is to give guests the true meaning of the word “experience”. Local Ingredients – The Flavours of Trøndelag Kim Tore uses organic and wild produce from Trøndelag, working closely with local farmers, fishermen, foragers, and hunters – as well as growing and foraging much himself. This ensures dishes of the highest quality, showcasing the very best the region has to offer. Some of our trusted suppliers include: Gullimunn – heritage grains such as Emmer wheat and Sweet Rye, grown on the farm and nearby. Trøndersopp – organic and wild mushrooms from Leksdal, just 15 minutes away. Bjørka – honey from Marie Vorum, who also helps source other local products. Kim personally handpicks many of the ingredients that later become exquisite dishes. An Unforgettable Culinary Evening We serve a 16-course tasting menu, carefully designed to provide a wealth of flavours without leaving you overfull. You can also choose from a range of drink pairings – with or without alcohol – tailored to complement each menu. The bar opens as guests arrive, and service begins at 7:30 PM, with dishes thoughtfully paced throughout the evening. Reservations Experience welcomes guests Wednesday - Saturday. Book your table her, via email: [email protected] or call: +47 94 08 13 99. Other days are available for private group bookings and larger groups by arrangement. Welcome to Experience – where every detail tells a story!

    The Golden Road

THE GOLDEN ROAD - In the heart of Trøndelag The detour The Golden Road passes through beautiful scenery in the Municipality of Inderøy in North-Trøndelag. Participants along the route offer food, art- and cultural experiences, where both tradition and innovation are taken into consideration. Visit the craftsman in his workshop, or the farmer and buy his fresh food and crafted products. Enjoy traditional food made from old recipes in relaxing country yards. Here you will find a museum of Norway’s most recognised sculptor and a sculpture park nearby. You can choose between a modern hotel and several nostalgic Bed & Breakfasts. Experience the Golden Road by car or from the seat of a bike. Choose between a large network of marked hiking trails. The proximity to the fjord offers great opportunities for swimming, fishing, boating and outdoor activities. Or simply sit down and enjoy the beautiful views of green hills and fjords. SUSTAINABLE DESTINATION The Golden Road opperates according to sustainable principles. However, being certified as a sustainable destination is an honour few qualify for. The Golden Route has, through many years, demonstrated their lasting commitment to providing the best possible experiences for their guests, while keeping the negative impact of tourism to a minimum. In addition, The Golden Road continually works to improve their business practices and relations with the local community, following principles of sustainability. "It takes 12 minutes to drive the E6 distance between Røra and Vist. The Golden Road takes 8 minutes more ... a day, a week, a summer, or an entire life …” Enter the houses Sample the treats Listen to the stories Feel the church wall See the colours Sense the art Fish in the fjord Meet the people Take your respite in the farm yards Immerse yourself in the countryside

"In the Artist's Garden" Tor-Arne Moen and Clare Woods

The exhibition "In the Artist's Garden" is a duo exhibition with Tor-Arne Moen and Clare Woods Tor-Arne Moen (b. Notodden 1966) turns 60 on May 13th this year, and we start the celebration by showing the large-format painting "Humlehimmel". "Almost every day since the beginning of June I have taken a flower or a twig from our garden, put it in water and conscientiously painted it into a large picture that has slowly taken its baroque form as new plants have bloomed or simply enticed with their summery, ephemeral beauty." Tor-Arne Moen, August 8, 2025 Once the summer garden flowers were attached to the canvas, he embarked on studies of Telemark's atmospheric ponds, which has resulted in a series of beautiful and colorful paintings of autumn water lily leaves. Moen's paintings are joined by British Clare Woods. It is a pleasure for us to be able to show her graphic works to a Trøndelag audience for the first time. Woods has recently worked with the still life motif, but we also show a wider range of motifs in the exhibition. She has an impressive CV with many solo exhibitions both in her home country and internationally, and is represented in a number of public collections. She will open a major museum exhibition in London this summer; "A Garden Without Seasons" at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery. Tor-Arne Moen has captured his work on "Humlehimmel" on film, which will be shown during the exhibition. We hope the exhibition will give the audience a beautiful respite in a troubled world, and a taste of summer's abundance of plants and colors.

"ROAD CHOICE" by BLE // Antikvariatet

"VEIVALG" by BLE This is a performance you didn't know you needed to see! - audience «VEIVALG» is a genre-crossing folk music/theater performance by the company BLE. On stage is musician Bendik Smedåsgjelten Qvam, and plays everything from bokkehorn and lur, to electric guitar and violin with x number of pedals. Next to him is actor and musician Lisa Luni Thun. Together they tell a story about gentrification of Norwegian nature, cabin developments, old mountain huts, and a deaf grandfather's search for his own "forest tranquility". This is a warm and humorous performance, which also asks important questions about the choices we make, both on our own behalf, others' and not least - the environment around us. What consequences have they had, what are we left with, where does the road go next, and... where do you go... when these questions pile up, and everything around you suddenly feels a bit "too much"? Is there still peace to be found on that mountaintop far away? The performance is written and produced by BLE ; a cross-over company that, in terms of genre, is located where traditional folk music meets the electronic landscape, and the old-fashioned verse form meets newly written text that sometimes borders on slam poetry. A new-fashioned tavern concept, if you will, where the overall motto is; "if the mood is good, everything is good". ....and it usually is, no matter where they are. A warm welcome! Time and place: February 15 at 2:00 PM, Antikvariatet in Trondheim. On stage/creative performers: Bendik Smedåsgjelten Qvam, Lisa Luni Thun Director: Evy Kasseth Røsten Script/artistic concept and idea: Lisa Luni Thun Music: Bendik Smedåsgjelten Qvam Video and lighting design: Kai Luni Thun Fjell Technician: Kai Luni Thun Fjell Photo: Ola Vatn Producer: BLE v/Lisa Luni Thun, Bjørn Tore Grøntvedt.
