Plan your trip to Follo

Do you want to scream on the rides at TusenFryd, stroll among idyllic white wooden houses in Drøbak or explore the fortress Oscarsborg? In Follo, you'll find fun and excitement for the whole family!

Follo is just a 20-minute drive from Oslo! Here, you'll find a string of idyllic small towns along the eastern side of the Oslofjord and a wide variety of seaside and water-based activities. With its immediate proximity and good transport connections, it's no wonder that Follo is one of Oslo's most popular cabin destinations.

You can find a lot of action and excitement in Follo - if that's your thing! Bring the whole family along and feel your stomach drop on the rides at Norway's biggest amusement park TusenFryd! Do you dare ride the SpeedMonster, a roller coaster that takes you from 0 to 90 km an hour in two seconds? Or take a gentle log flume ride with the little ones.

Or maybe you have come to Follo to rejuvenate? Spending a few hours at The Well, the biggest spa in the Nordic countries, could be just what you need. Or you can stroll the streets of Drøbak, Son or Hvitsten, all of which were known as artist enclaves in the 1800s.

Another unique attraction in Follo is the fortress Oscarsborg in the Drøbak Sound. The mystic atmosphere of the island, and the dramatic story of the sinking of the German warship Blücher, attracts over 100,000 visitors a year. You can also experience the culture destination Ramme fjordhotell in Hvitsten.
