New and organized trails will be established in the years to come as an result of the big mountain bike commitment in Ål and Hallingdal. Downhill cycling is possible to try in Huckfest Bike Park at Ål Ski centre. Suitable for people who enjoy speed and excitement! Leveld Kunstnartun is a work place for practising artists and cultural workers. Artists come here for shorter or longer periods and work. Leveld Kunstnartun is close to the local enviorment and a calm place, where nature, seasons and the light shall give inspiration and good working conditions. The Bjørneboe-loft, which Lisel and Jens Bjørneboe used as a holiday cabin and work place, is a cultural historic jewel at kunstnartunet (the artists yard). In the Climbing park High and Low there are a number of fun challenges for the whole family! During wintertime there are ski trails with floodlight right outside the door, so you can ski in the eventing also, and if you prefer downhill-skiing, Ål Skisenter is not too far away. During summertime there are a lot of trails for hiking and bicycling in the beautiful mountain area around Liatoppen Fjellstue. If you follow the mountain road you will find nice bathing spots and mountain farms where you can buy local dairy products such as butter, cheese and sour cream. Liatoppen Fjellstue are doing their best to give their guests the activities and entertainment they want. Combined with excellent food they can promise you a great time and the best service. Fagerdalen is situated on the road that goes from the Bergsjø area to Hovet via Tvist. Refreshments and sale of sour cream, cream porridge and traditional farm products including farmhouse cheeses such as surystil, trøgost and knaost. The café is open every day from 12 pm until 5 pm from 3 July until 23 August, and there is also sale of dairy products.
